OSTEOPOROSIS - is a disease characterised by reduction of bone
mass and disruption of bone architecture. It is asymptomatic in the beginning,
but leading to bone fragility, fractures and serious complications. It
is considered as one of the major public health problems affecting elderly
population, especially women after the menopause.
BREAST CANCER - is the most
frequent type of cancer. Each year 8 thousand women develop breast cancer
in Poland. Death caused by breast cancer ends life of 5 thousand women
each year. The risk of death from breast cancer can be reduced.
